Memorial Day Weekend 2018 Starts Today and we would lke to show you some places we hold in high regard for memorial day weekend celebration
1- Jones Beach State Park - needsno introduction as the most famous beach on the east coast, full of beaches, miniature golf, concerts and surfing, everybody deserves a trip to Jones Beach at least once a year and it is right in our backyard in Wantagh NY 11793.
2- Fire Island- anther hotspot for summer celebration. You can access Fire Island via the Bay Shore Ferries, Patchogue Ferries or the Sayville Ferries. You can enjoy beaches, restaurants, night life and relaxation on this legendary island located of the south shore of Suffolk County
3- Long Beach - while the West End is chock full of night life wiht bars and restaurants you can try, you can check out the surf on the much mellower east end and walk the boardwalk. You could get the feeling of a small beach town here with lots to do in the city by the sea.
4- Port Jefferson Down Port- this quaint little sea town located on the North Shore of Suffolk County is a gem that us Long Islanders take for granted. There is a nautial theme throughout this area full of bars and restaurants you can go to and even a ferry to Bridgeport. Port Jefferson is home to many summer festivals and events so check back frequently about the hapenings in this great town.
5- Freeport Nautical Mile - a close to home but not too close mile on the south shore of Nassau County, featuring many seafood restaurants and famous clubs popular amongst locals and tourists. Big summer attraction for Nassau County and Long Island.
6- Sunken Meadow State Park - located on the North Shore of Suffolk County this famous park has plenty of swimming options, barbecue spots and family fun that can be enjoyed in the summer season. The quaint feel makes it feel like a New England Town but on the North Shore of Long Island
7- The North Fork Vineyards- before Long Island grew to be the mega center that it has grown to be today, it was open farmlnd and you can see a piece of this when you go to the North Fork Vineyards. There are many wineries located along Sound Ave in Riverhead, Greenport and Mattituck. You need to make a day out of it and we can help you do that. Its always to do a winery tour with a group of friends 4 and greater and hire one of our drivers to take you on a tour of the Long Island North Fork.
8- Montauk Point- you want to make a weekend out of this because it takes upwards of 3 hours to get to when you factor in the busy Hamptons travel and all the stops you could make along the way here. Once youre here, the beaches are heavenly with perfect waves for surfing, abundant night life and restaurants you could have only imagined in other parts of Long Island. There are parts of Montauk that are built up and parts here you get the feeling of old Long Island. You can even rent a bungalow for a weekend if you may.
9- Sag Harbor- the heart of the Hamptons featuring many art shows and high society artifacts making you see what the finer points of Long Island could bring. Sag Harbor is rich in creativity and craft. You can see why so many Long Islanders enjoy this area for upscale restaurants and art show exhibits.
10- Patchogue Village- this night life center has grow from a poor workin town to a center of great summer night life you can enjoy at one of the many beach themed places. Patchogue has long been a favorite of up and coming business people and you can see why you can enjoy the night life here as well
